Privacy Policy

Effective 10 July 2026 · Contact: support@ridelay.app

1. Who we are

Ridelay is a group-riding app for motorcyclists, currently in pre-release development. This policy describes what we collect and how we use it, for both the app and this website.

2. What we collect

We do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers in the app or on this site.

3. How location sharing works

During an active ride, participants of that ride can see your live position. Anonymized, privacy-trimmed ride data (with the start and end of each ride removed) may contribute to aggregate map layers such as the community heat overlay.

Beacon. If you turn on Beacon during a ride, we create a private link showing your name, live position, and speed to anyone who has that link. Beacon is strictly opt-in per ride, the link token is unguessable, and it stops working when the ride ends, when you turn it off, or after 12 hours — whichever comes first.

5. Retention

Your data is kept while your account exists. Beacon links expire as described above. Live positions are continuously replaced during a ride; ride track points and summaries are kept as part of your ride history until you delete them or your account.

6. Deleting your account and data

Email support@ridelay.app with the subject line "Privacy" from your account email, and we will delete your account and associated data within 30 days. You can also request an export of your data the same way.

7. Children

Ridelay is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

We will update this page when the policy changes and adjust the effective date above. Material changes will be announced in the app.
